Uniforms

The new MIS logo was added to uniforms beginning with the 2020-21 school year; the old logo will be grandfathered until the 2024-25 school year. Uniforms with either logo will be allowed through the 2024-25 school year. Only the new logo will be permitted beginning with the 2025-26 school year.

Several studies indicate that school uniforms deter violence, promote neatness, and reinforce the school brand. MIS is pleased to partner with Risse Brothers as our official uniform provider. Uniforms may be purchased by:

Uniform requirements are detailed in the MIS Parent/Student Handbook for each year (see handbook on My MIS). The only jacket permitted for all students is the navy quarter-zip pullover with logo. General requirements include:

• Boys:

  • Pre-K: red polo with logo, navy shorts/pants, solid white socks and black shoes.

  • K-6: white or red polo with logo, khaki shorts/pants, solid white socks and black shoes.

  • 7-8: navy blue polo with logo, khaki shorts/pants, solid white socks and black shoes.

• Girls:

  • Pre-K: red knit polo logo dress or red logo polo with navy skort, white socks and white shoes.

  • K-3: White short-sleeve blouse, plaid jumper, white socks and white shoes.

  • 4-8: white or light blue logo blouse, plaid skirt (knee length), white socks and white shoes.

  • 7-8: navy blue blouse with logo, plaid skirt (knee length), white socks and white shoes.

  • Solid white, navy or black tights may be worn during cold weather.
