CBS 11 Feature on MIS Greenhouse (May 2024). CBS 11 came to MIS to showcase the wonders of the Greenhouse on television. Two MIS students discuss getting their hands dirty, learning outside of the classroom, and discovering lifelong lessons.


Greenhouse Dedication Ceremony (April 2024). MIS celebrates the opening of the Greenhouse with a dedication ceremony and blessing. Major benefactors, sponsors and leadership came together to enjoy the beauty that the Greenhouse will bring to campus. MIS Student Wins National Adopt-A-Pilot Tie Design Competition (April 2024). Reagan D., a 6th grader at MIS, competes and wins the national competition for the Adopt-a-Pilot Program. Reagan is surpised and awarded after an all-school Mass.


International Rosary (October 2023). To celebrate the anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, our school came together to pray a rosary in 7 different languages, led by MIS students, for peace in our world. ALUMNI NEWS: GIVING BACK (April 2023). MIS Alumna, Bev Grimley (‘74) found her passion in giving back to her community. She now serves as the Director of Special Programs at Metrocrest Services.


ALUMNI NEWS: AWARD WINNER (April 2023). Julia Loshelder, an MIS alumna, has been selected as one of 110 female doctoral students from a pool of 825 nominees in the United States and Canada to receive a $20,000 Scholar Award.

STUDENTS SHOW BUSINESS SAVVY WITH MUSTANG MARKET (May 2022). MIS fourth graders learned about personal finances, starting a business and much more at their inaugural Mustang Market.

MIS PRINCIPAL ON DIOCESAN SYNOD (Nov. 26, 2021, The Texas Catholic) As the Diocese begins a new Synod, MIS Principal, Sister Mary Anne, is featured along with other Synod members.


MIS RECEIVES $75K (Nov. 26, 2021, The Texas Catholic). The Catholic Foundation presented $1.3 million in grants in 2021. MIS received $75K to resurface our playground.

DALE HANSEN ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (Mar. 3, 2021). John Schaller, MIS Class of 2017, maintains a 4.0 GPA at Creekview High School and is an All-District pitcher. He recently signed to play baseball at Hendrix College in Arkansas.
